You are viewing a rare WW1 era CEF cap badge. The 9th Mounted Rifle Battalion was organized in North west Saskatchewan,at Lloydminster, in 1915. This specimen is made of brass. It has very fine "patina" aging, and yet is still very clean. The very top of the leaf is bent slightly back but is still intact and reparable. The unusual feature about this badge is that it has a tang fastener, instead of the more common lugs and pin. Guaranteed 100% genuine.
