Above are the scans for a WWI 80th Battalion cap badge. Formed in 1915. This battalion was raised in Eastern Ontario, with headquarters in Barriefield. Sailed for England in May of 1916, and was later absorbed into the 51st Infantry Battalion. This beautiful example is complete with both lugs. A clean "pickled brass" o/r badge with very nice patina giving evidence to its age. A beauty for any collector of Canadian CEF badges...
