You are viewing a WWII era badge for a British Regiment called the Burma Rifles. May have something to do with general Ordie Wingate's Circus, who fought in the Burmese (now called Myanmar) jungles using elephants against the Japanese. (A little known story of WWII ... worth some research) The badge may be silver but it is made in the oriental "sandcast" method and contains no hallmark. Has an interesting peacock design over "Burma Rifles" scrolling.
