You are viewing the scans of this fine example of a WWII era RAD Corps "Hewer" Dagger. This fine vintage piece has a very clean blade with an excellent antler grip beneath an eagle head style pommel. This heavy knife is original and completely intact. A super piece, hallmarked "Carl Julkrebs - Soligen". Also marked on the blade is the RAD Corps insignia in a triangle with the letters GES. GESCH beneath. A small 1/4 inch section of the chrome plating on the tip is missing on both sides.
The scabbord is stilll in good clean condition, but with some minor scratches on the black surface. (view scans) The heavy silvered upper hilt of the scabbord is excellent; through expected age ware, greyed slightly as has the lower silvered end piece, which clearly shows the RAD Corps shovel/swastika design on both sides. There are matching numbers on both the scabbord and the grip which read Ma838. These may be museum numbers, not sure. But they are matching. Blade slides easily but firmly into the scabbord. Enjoy the scans...
