Raised in in Toronto during the summer of 1916. This battalion, called the "Sportsmen", was composed of 864 officers and other ranks. They sailed for England on November 15th, 1916. There they became part of the 3rd Reserve Battalion supplying reinforcements to the front. This browning copper badge is in excellent condition with both lugs intact, and nice original patina.
