The scans above show a 3 piece set of uniform badges for the Prince of Wales Own Regiment (Machine Gun). They are in very good condition, made of anodized brass, with a tang attachment on the cap badge as well as lug type fasteners on the collar device set. The discoloration on the colors is oxidation the lugs are original.


The PWOR went to war on September 1, 1939. They served in Canada for home defence until October of 1943. At that time its members were transferred to the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders and served with distinction overseas throughout the invasion period from 1944 until the end of the war in 1945.
