You are viewing a WW2 Era Dufferin & Haldeman Rifles of Canada Cap Badge and collar set (3). The cap badge is a larger badge, made of white metal, with both lugs original and intact. The collar set is also white metal with all lug type attachments in good order. An interesting Maltese cross design showing the battle Honors of the regimental history.

The DHRC was mobilized in July of 1940 and served as home guard for the Niagara region of Ontario, also as part of the West Coast Defense Brigade out of Nanaimo, British Columbia. The regiment also served as part of the Canadian detachment who were sent to, the then British Colony, of Newfoundland, as well as to certain parts of Canada for Home guard duty. It also served as a training regiment for conscripts who then went on to other regiments for service overseas. a relatively rare badge from the WW2 era ....
