You are viewing a vintage brassard for the British Army Provost Corps. This one is hallmarked and dated "Unique Brassard - 1951" so it is British in origin. The armband is made of heavy felt with brass attachment grommets. The inside is covered with a smooth cotton material upon which the writing may be viewed.. The lettering is in a similar heavy felt but of a red color.
