You are viewing a CEF era Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry WW1 Cap Badge - An excellent example of the very early war "Marguerite" style cap badge. Made of brass. This badge has both original lugs intact and in good condition. The "Patricias" were the first of the Canadian units to engage the Germans in WWI. On March 14th 1915 the Princess Patricia's Light Infantry received their bloody christening into the severity and rigors of this new war. They were quite bloodied and withdrew. However two days later, on March 16th, undaunted and advancing along side the British, the Patricias got their second chance. There they turned the German advance at Neuve Chapelle and went on to recapture St. Eloi. (view our WWI Canadian War History in this listing http://www.shoulder-to-shoulder.net/Product/1653
