Above you may view the scans for this WWI era 222nd Battalion collar badge. It is made of browning copper. Has both lug type attachments in good order. (one lug re-welded)
The 222nd Battalion was raised in in the city of Winnipeg and was composed of volunteers from across Manitoba. They sailed for England on November 13th 1916. It was a relatively large battalion composed of 1025 members. Upon arrival in England they became part of the 19th Reserve battalion.
