Formed during the summer of 1915 and headquartered i n Winnipeg, these prairie boys, lead by Lt. col. Dennistown, trained through the fall and winter and with a force of 1098 members , one of the largest battalions of the CEF, sailed for England on March 29th, 1916. The battalion was later to become part of the 15th Canadian Reserve Battalion...
