You are viewing a rare WWI era CEF cap & collar badge set (3). This CEF 30th Battalion Badge set has all original lugs intact and in good order. A rare set with matching age patina
This Battalion was raised in British Columbia, with Headquarters in the city of Victoria. They sailed for England on February 27th 1915. It is interesting that, according to the Charlton book, their mobilization order was made on March 15th, 1915, after they had sailed. (may be a typo in the book) They joined the 30th Reserve Battalion which later became the 1st Reserve Battalion.
