Les "Fusiliers du St-Laurent" still exists today as a Primary Reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Forces. It was first raised in 1869 and perpetuates the 4th Battalion, Select Embodied Militia, from the War of 1812. In WWII they were part of the Atlantic Command and stationed at HMCS Fort Ramsey. Later they became part of the 6th Canadian Division which was formed in 1942. It was attached to Pacific Command. The division had a brigade sent to the Aleutian Islands Campaign, particularly at Kiska, but never saw action. From 1954 to 1968, as a reserve regiment, it also was given a subsidiary title as the 5th Battalion of the Van Doos. This association was ended in 1968.

Guaranteed 100% authentic.
