The Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps (RCAMC) came into being officially on 29th of April 1936, and were made official after WW2 in 1948.

Originally the Militia Medical Service was established in 1899. The Militia Medical Service was redesignated as a Corps on 2 July, 1904; the regular component as "Permanent Active Militia Medical Corps" and the militia component as "Militia Army Medical Corps in 1904. Redesignated "Canadian Army Medical Corps" on 1 May, 1909, and was kown as such throughout WWI. It was redesignated "The Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps" on 3 November, 1919, by Royal order. The "Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps" name become official on 29 April, 1936. The two elements were finally united under one name on 22 March, 1948 as "The Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps". This is a rare and beautiful keepsake from the bygone era of this prestigious corps. These are an officer grade collar set.The badges appear to be silver plated with some of the gold plated highlights still visible. All lugs fasteners are original, complete, and are intact and functional.
