You are viewing a vintage WW1 CEF193rd Battalion Cap Badge. Made of blackened brass. Note the large"193" encircled by a ring on which is written "Nova Scotia Highlanders" under a king's crown motif. This beautiful example has had both lugs original and in good order. It has been darkened for field service. A beauty for any collector of rare Canadian CEF badges.
Formed in 1916. This battalion was raised in Nova Scotia , with headquarters in Truro. Known as the "Nova Scotia Highlanders". Sailed for England in July of1916,and was used to re-supply the 17th Reserve Battalion.
