You are viewing a vintage CEF 210th Battalion (Frontiersmen) Cap Badge, WWI. This Moose Jaw battalion badge is made of browning copper, with a horizontal lug attachments, both original and in good order. It has an interesting and unique enameled design with no chips, dents or flaws, and a cursory inspection of the obverse revealed no hallmark. NOTE the enameling is 100%. The enameled rondel on this badge appears to be a Union Jack applied to an aboriginal battle shield...

The battalion was raised in Saskatchewan with members joining from the Moose Jaw area, during the summer of 1916. This was perhaps one of the smallest battalions fielded by the Canadians in WWI, with 480 members. The 210th sailed for England on April 11th 1917. Upon arrival in England they became part of the 19th reserve battalion...
