1920's vintage Canadian Navy Air Wing cap badge. This badge, a close cousin to the CAA badges shown in this category, was used briefly by the Canadian Naval Air Wing in its infancy, during the interwar period of the '20's and 30's. This type is with an anchor over a leaf design in a copper badge. Both lug type fasteners are original and intact. The point at which the wings touch the crown is quite fragile. Most specimens of this type did not survive due to this design problem. ...
