Known as the 7th Reserve Recon Regiment, this regiment embarked for England on August 23,1941. They served during WW2, with battle honors at Caen, (landed on D-Day with the 3rd Canadian Division). Battle honors are the Scheldt, Breskens Pocket and Deventer, Holland, among others... The 2nd 7th Recon Regiment also served as part of the Canadian Army Occupation Force in Europe until the regiment was disbanded on May 24th 1946.
